As our Early Education Music Teacher, You'll be the conductor of an orchestra of little minds and responsible for lighting the musical spark that lasts a lifetime! You will be teaching foundational skills in a way that feels like pure play. No forced music here—just joyful, engaging music-making for every family in our music school! You will need a fundamental music background and be able to sing and play an instrument (piano, guitar, ukulele preferred)! This is a part-time position with a competitive payscale.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provides instruction in group or individual format using a curriculum based on method books, methodology and arrangements created for Bach to Rock Music Schools
- Creates a warm and welcoming class environment in which young children can feel safe and cared for
- Moves, sets up and breaks down equipment at the school and school events
- Assists with moving equipment, chairs, tables and materials when necessary
Knowledge and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed here are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. - Must demonstrate an understanding of basic music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age appropriate manner with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Must play a musical instrument – piano, keys, or guitar preferred
- Must be able to sing in tune
- Must demonstrate the ability to run basic sound equipment, computers and power point presentations
- Must be able to be physically present at the facility during its hours of operation
- Ability to pass a background check
Education, Work Experience and/or Licensure
Certificate and / or degrees in one or more of the following:
- Elementary Education
- Music Education
- Early Childhood Education
- Music Therapy
Those who are currently enrolled in a degree program in one of the three listed majors will also be considered
- Years of experience in the subject area may be substituted for degree or licensure
Language Skills
- Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills. Additional language skills a plus.

- Ability to work during the company's normal business hours that includes weekends
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, travel up and down stairs, crouch, stoop and reach
- Ability to lift and move the equipment typically associated with B2R's day-to-day operation, e.g., keyboards, recording equipment, light furniture, etc.
